Moved from Troy, New York to Schenectady, New York in 1949 and to Idaho Falls, Idaho in 1957. Watch Academy in Mt. Pleasant, Utah from September, 1962 to May, 1963 and from September to December of 1963. Graduated from Idaho Falls High School in 1966. Served in the US Air Force from October 1966 through October 1970.  Basic training at Lackland AFB, Texas then stationed at Barksdale AFB, Louisiana (19 months); Forbes AFB, Kansas (21 months: home base with advanced training at Schofield Barracks, Hawaii and Fort Campbell, Kentucky; two 6 month tours in Vietnam and a 3 month tour in Germany) and finally Mountain Home AFB, Idaho (5 months). Lived in Boise, Idaho from October, 1970 until a move back to Idaho Falls in December, 1970. Member of the Idaho Falls Police Department from June 1971 (FBI National Academy at Quantico, Virginia, from March through June of 1984) to retirement in September 1996. Self-employed in Idaho Falls from September 1996 to present.
